They required a product that could match their equipment’s connectors while also providing cable protection,with a cable outer diameter of 27.5-30.5mm.
Customer Challenges
The customer has traditionally used plastic glands, which tend to crack after prolonged outdoor use, thereby impacting the overall product lifespan. Therefore, the customer is seeking a durable, long-term solution. This product will be used both indoors and outdoors, necessitating waterproof and dustproof capabilities. Additionally, due to frequent movement of the devices, the product must securely fit the cables without loosening or disconnecting.

Upon receiving the customer’s request and conducting a thorough analysis of the requirements,we proposed the Strain Relief Grip solution to the customer.
- The Deluxe Cord Strain Relief Grip is made of stainless steel with an EPDM rubber ring inside, preventing dust, moisture, and other contaminants from entering the equipment. The stainless steel material is also more suitable for long-term use and resistant to rust.
- The threaded connector and compression nut are custom-matched to the thread size of the customer’s connectors, allowing the cable to pass through easily. Once tightened, the connection is not only more reliable but also prevents loosening or slipping.
- Based on the customer’s cable range, we customized the stainless steel wire mesh part to fit the cables perfectly, providing protection and preventing damage during equipment movement. Additionally, these grips distribute strain evenly along the mesh during bending, thereby extending the cable’s lifespan.
- We provided the solution and samples for customer confirmation. The customer tested our samples on their equipment, and they fit perfectly.
